Volunteering

give2give could not operate without the help of a team of dedicated volunteers. They each give up a couple of hours of their spare time each week or fortnight to help us to help good causes across Bromley. We are always on the look out for more volunteers in every area of our work, for example:

Our charity shops in Hayes and Petts Wood
Volunteering in a give2give charity shop is a great way to make friends. There’s a great feeling of team work and involvement with the local community. You’ll receive on the job training so there’s no need to worry about experience, and you can choose to focus on your favourite task, or alternatively help with a variety of jobs each time you volunteer, for example:

  • Sorting and steaming clothes in our charity shops
  • Helping customers
  • Displaying items

Our second-hand furniture warehouse in Bickley
Or perhaps you would prefer to volunteer in one of our second-hand furniture stores, where we need help arranging furniture and serving customers. Although you will need to be physically fit as there’s plenty of furniture to be moved around!

Administration
We are also looking for people with a range of administration skills to help behind the scenes. In particular we need help keeping our customers up to date with our work, for example:

  • Updating our website
  • Producing a newsletter
  • Putting together funding profiles (including photos) of the organisations we have helped.

You can find out more about what you can expect when volunteering by phoning 020 8313 3888 and asking for Jo.
