Volunteering
give2give couldn’t operate it’s shops without the help of our wonderful team of volunteers.
We work with local volunteering organisations to assist us with placing volunteers and have signed up to the London Volunteer Management Charter. At present the volunteers we work with include young people working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award and adult volunteers referred to us from MENCAP’s Jobmatch.
We were particularly pleased when we were able to offer a permanent paid position to one of our volunteers who was seeking employment. Although we can’t promise this for everyone, we can however promise a friendly welcome and a nice cup of tea.
We are always looking for more volunteers in every area of our work, for example:
- Our charity shops in Hayes and Petts Wood
- Our second-hand furniture shops in Hayes and Petts Wood
- Assisting our drivers with furniture collections
- Administration
- Marketing and promotion
- Ebay sales
