Riding for the Disabled – Jasper Group

The aim of Riding for the Disabled is simple – “to make a difference to the lives of disabled people in a very special way – by providing them with the opportunity to ride or to carriage ride to benefit their health and well being”.

Jasper Group is one of seven Riding for the Disabled groups in South East London. The group meets at least weekly at the stables in Hawkwood Lane, Chislehurst. Children and adults have the opportunity to join in social activities, competitions and holidays. However none of this would be possible without the dedication of at least 20 volunteers who regularly give up their free time to work as instructors.

Jasper Group has taken delivery of two new islandic ponies. These are strong ponies, especially practical for the older riders. give2give was delighted to donate £1,000 to pay for the equipment required for the new ponies, plus new electric fencing for their paddock.
