What is My Donate?

MyDonate is a not-for-profit, online fundraising service from BT for UK charities and is a secure, easy-to-use way for people to donate money to give2give. Every penny of the money that you contribute (excluding credit and debit card charges) is paid to give2give. Gift Aid can also be added on your behalf to maximise your donation.

Is my donation safe and secure?

Yes. BT is one of the world’s leading experts in online security.

BT employ more than 1,800 specialist consultants and are trusted by security-conscious organisations including high-street banks, the UK  government and the Ministry of Defence.

Eighty per cent of all credit card transactions made in the UK pass through BT’s network – that’s more than 400,000 transactions every hour.

If I use My Donate will my details be passed on to the charities I support?

No, unless you have given the charity permission that they can have access to your contact details and then we will pass them on to the charity on your behalf.

How much of my donation will reach the charity?

BT does not charge a commission fee nor do we charge the charities to be a member. The only charge made against your donation is the credit/debit card charge (1.3% of donation on credit cards and 15p for each debit card transaction).
