Hayes Christmas Lights

On November 25th Hayes held its Christmas lights switch on festivities. The annual event is made possible only by the hard work of a committee of local residents and Hayes traders. This year was a tremendous success, It can take an entire year of planning and fundraising (including quiz and give2give was delighted to donate £300 for the second year running to start the fund for next year’s lights.

There was a tremendous turnout of adults and children on the night, encouraged out by the good weather. Over 25 stalls lined the street selling items from jewellery to balloons. There were also food vans, bar-b-ques, games and children’s rides for everyone’s enjoyment. The lights were switched on by the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Mrs Anne Manning.

give2give would personally like to thank the organising committee and all those involved in making the night such a great success. give2give has since donated £300 to the Christmas Lights committee as a  start to fundraising for 2008.
