Grants
give2give aims to use surplus funds raised each year from its re-use and recycling activities to make a difference to local communities across Bromley.
In 2003 give2give established a Small Grants Fund to provide small amounts of funding to support local community and voluntary groups. The Fund is administered by give2give with applications considered for decision by the Awards Panel comprising of trustees and staff. Applications for funding must fit give2give charitable objectives. To date more than £65,000 has been awarded to 80 good causes.
In the current economic climate there is increased need for funding particularly to help smaller local community groups and charities, many of which are volunteer led and depend upon volunteers to deliver services. The amount available in give2give Small Grants Fund is modest and varies in size each year depending on the level of surplus generated, and give2give other charitable commitments.
A revised Small Grants Fund was launched in October 2011 with clear guidelines on the funding priorities.
Applications must support activities or projects that fit with at least one of the following charitable themes
- engaging children and young people in positive activities, and providing support for families
- support and services to assist older people, and to promote health and well-being
- support and services to assist people with physical or learning disabilities, or mental health issues.
We will also consider applications made on behalf of individual children and young people which relate to theme 1 above.
We have many success stories with our Small Grants Fund which has made a real difference to many local Bromley residents. Please see ‘Our Achievements So Far’ and ‘Who we have funded’ for more details.
Please read the ‘Application Guidelines’. You can apply by downloading the ‘Application form’ and either emailing it or sending by post as a hard copy. Please remember to include the supporting documents that we need to consider your application.
