Founding Principles
give2give has five founding principles which will always be at the core
of our future strategies and plans. These are:
- We promise to fund our running costs from our own independent sources
of income, thus not diverting increasingly scarce forms of funding (i.e.
Charitable or Corporate Trust funding) away from other local organisations
and/or charities.
- We will work creatively and innovatively to develop new ways of creating
sustainable income for the local community (i.e. social enterprise).
- We respect the work of other charities and charity shops and will
work creatively to fulfill needs that are as yet unfulfilled or to add
value to existing charitable work, thus making us a worthy addition
to the local community.
- We will value and invest in our staff and volunteers.
- We will run our operations using the principles of best business practice.
