The Conquest Club

The Conquest Club is a swimming club for physically and learning disabled people of all ages living in the Borough of Bromley. The club provides one-to-one support and tuition for members every Saturday afternoon at the swimming baths in Beckenham. For many disabled people this is the only leisure activity that is accessible, and in which they can take part independently from their carers. Through their formidable commitment and enthusiasm, a group of volunteers have kept the club running continuously for over 30 years, enabling local disabled people to develop confidence and gain water skills in a safe environment that values them as individuals.
