Epstein art deco drinks cabinet

It’s always interesting to see the range of unusual and rare items that come through the doors of give2give.

We have recently been generously donated an Epstein style art deco drinks cabinet; beautifully crafted from birdseye maple wood with a peach glass interior.  This elegantly designed piece of furniture is very sought after, and as such we have decided to offer it for sale by ‘sealed bid’ auction.

If you would like any further details for this piece, or if you would like to submit a bid, then either pop along to our furniture store in Petts Wood or send your name, contact details and bid amount to our Head Office address by 29th February.

Giveacar scheme

Do you own a banger that’s merely gathering dust in the garage?  Then you can do your bit for charity!

Giveacar  is a UK based fundraising organisation that specialises in auctioning or scrapping old cars for charitable causes throughout the world, including give2give.

They provide a FREE service which is available throughout the UK, and can work with you hand-in-hand in the following ways:

  • They can arrange the collection of the vehicle;
  • Depending on its age and condition, they can either send it for environmentally safe disposal and recycling at an Authorised Treatment Facility, or to a salvage auction;

This means that a large portion of the proceeds are donated to a nominated charity of the vehicle owner’s choice!

Since Giveacar was set up in 2010, the organisation has already raised over £500,000 for over 450 charities!

To arrange collection of a car please click here or call 020 0011 1664, quoting give2give as your preferred charity.

give2give joins Bromley Council’s Snow Friends scheme

Snow Friends are local residents and businesses who volunteer to clear snow and ice in their street. Bromley Council provides the necessary salt supplies and shovels free of charge to assist with this.

As a Snow Friend give2give are helping to enable the Winter Gritting and Snow Clearance Operations Team to concentrate on the Borough’s priority routes – the main road network and pavements in town centres, schools and transport interchanges.

The Snow Friends scheme has become even more popular this year, with over 3000 Snow Friend volunteers agreeing to work together with other like-minded residents to clear streets and pavements of snow for the benefit of their local community. The amount of interest has been outstanding with many local residents joining together to create a ‘mini’ community of Snow Friends, with now over 150 Snow Friends groups within the Borough.

Big Yellow supports give2give

We are delighted that Big Yellow self-storage Bromley has provided us with storage space at a fraction of the full cost in Farwig Lane.

In early December we were offered two good sized storage units. This was great news since it meant we could store a donation of high quality office furniture from an advertising company. Without the help from Big Yellow we might have had to turn the donation down.  Storage space is always tight for give2give so we really appreciate this extra help!
