Young Carers Bromley (a charity based in Chislehurst Road, Orpington) supports young carers between 4 and 18 years old whose lives are in some way restricted because of the need to take responsibility for the care of someone in their family with a long term illness or disability.
The Young Carers Team can provide home visits, one to one support, half-term activities, weekend respite trips, access to other services and agencies, a monthly performing arts group, health support sessions, forums, information, a free telephone helpline (0800 0157700) and opportunities to meet other young carers.
give2give was delighted to donate £1,500 to the charity to enable the young carers to stage a song and dance performance during the Easter holidays in 2006. Our donation will be used to pay for the hall hire, dance teachers and organisers, travel for the young carers, costumes and ticket design and printing. Break a leg!
