Ben Cornwell

Ben lives in Hayes. He was born on 8th March 1983, two months premature.  At the tender age of two he was diagnosed as having Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Quadriplegia.  Ben’s physical disability necessitates one to one care twenty four hours a day.  He has no sitting balance and no fine control of his four major limbs.  Ben cannot walk and spends his waking life in his wheelchair. Ben’s physical disabilities mean that he has to have a bespoke seating system, moulded to the exact contours of his body.

With the help of a £2,000 donation from give2give it has been possible to purchase this bespoke, ‘foam carved’ system for Ben.  He now sits comfortable in his chair with the seating system fully supporting every contour of his seated body.  This makes his life so much easier as he is no longer constantly trying to find, or reposition himself into a comfortable seating position.

Ben is a very happy, well adjusted twenty year old young man.  He has a very caring nature, a delightful personality and a great sense of humour.  He and his parents are extremely grateful for the support afforded them by give2give and its patrons.
